Support for children aged 5-16 in Hackney and Haringey
Children Ahead’s mission is to support children aged 5-16 with mild to moderate learning, developmental and emotional difficulties from the Charedi (Orthodox Jewish) communities in the London Boroughs of Hackney and Haringey.
Many with mental health challenges such as anxiety, trauma, depression and behavioural issues are turning to Children Ahead. Thanks to the generous support from the Lewin Trust, we have been able to expand and enhance our vital services, ensuring that more vulnerable children and families receive the support they desperately need in a timely way. The funding enables us to provide a block of 12 psychotherapy sessions led by clinical psychotherapists for vulnerable children, weekly mentoring sessions for children experiencing crises, and confidential consultations, advice and referrals through our advice line. With The Lewin Trust’s support, we can continue to empower children, support families, and break down barriers to accessing mental health care in our community.
We are immensely grateful for their partnership and commitment to improving the lives of children and families in need.
