Dorset Parent-Infant Partnership (DorPIP) is a registered charity working within Dorset communities, dedicated to strengthening parent-infant relationships during the crucial first 1001 days of life. Research shows that these early days are a vital period for a child’s brain development and emotional well-being. During this time, secure attachments formed with caregivers lay the foundation for healthy emotional, social, and cognitive development that will last a lifetime.
DorPIP provide the essential emotional support to help families build these secure, lasting bonds with their babies, ensuring a strong foundation for the future. Our services include:
- Talking Therapy’s with parent-infant relationship specialists to support emotional well-being.
- Infant Massage Courses that encourage bonding through positive touch.
- Support Groups for new and expectant parents, including a dedicated group for fathers, available both online and in-person.
As a Dorset-based charity, we are committed to creating safe, nurturing spaces where local families can share, learn and strengthen the critical bonds that support their babies’ healthy development.
