The Elizabeth Foundation’s vision is to make a tangible and positive difference to the lives of young deaf children in the UK, by providing early intervention, education and welfare services to them and their families. With vulnerable deaf children all too often isolated from the specialist support they need at a local and national level, delayed communication impacts every aspect of their life.
Now, thanks to generous grant funding from The Lewin Trust, we are able to offer pre-school deaf children access to outstanding, inclusive services at our Hampshire Family Centre, enabling them to learn to listen and talk by the age of 5. By doing so we will help these children transition to mainstream school with the communication, early-learning skills and confidence they will need to thrive academically and socially and pave the way for strong mental health and lifelong success. We are so grateful to The Lewin Trust for their partnership and look forward to sharing the positive outcomes of their commitment.
