Dads Rock supports fathers to be the best parents they can be, based on the belief that children thrive when dads thrive. The charity works with dads at all stages of parenthood to build confidence, strengthen parenting skills, and ensure fathers feel valued, included, and supported in family life.

Many young dads face significant challenges, including social and economic disadvantage, stigma, poor mental health, and a lack of services designed specifically for them. They often feel excluded from traditional parenting support, which can impact their wellbeing, relationships, and ability to engage positively in their child’s life at a crucial early stage. Through our Young Dads project, Dads Rock provides tailored, dad-focused support for young fathers across Edinburgh and Glasgow. This includes practical parenting guidance, welcoming peer groups, opportunities to build supportive relationships with other dads, and access to trusted role models in a safe, non-judgemental environment. By supporting young dads early, the project helps improve confidence, mental wellbeing, and engagement in parenting. This leads to stronger family relationships, better outcomes for children, and a more positive, stable future for young dads and their families.
